Upcoming Books, Web Site Update

Site & Book Update :)

Over the last week I’ve been building this new web site and moving over my content from WordPress. I’ve done it completely by myself, although I used a theme called Stride Lite, which I’m finding to be very good and customizable. It was also free to use, which is even better.

One of the areas I studied was web development, so it was good to put those skills to use again. It’s been a while, at least other than sites I’ve created for myself.

I’ve also been working on my new book, A Masquerade in Time, which is coming along well. I have a way to go still (I’m about 20% of the way through it), but I’m aiming to write around 1,600 words per day, so it shouldn’t take me too long. I’m aiming for a word count of 20,000 words, around the final word count of Cynthia and Eve. I’m actually writing this story in first person. It’s something I’ve done a couple of times before with short stories, but usually I opt for third person. When I started writing it, it’s really just how it flowed/seemed to come together, so I decided to work with it and while I have the story planned out, I’m also curious to see where and how it goes. I always leave enough room in the planning process for a story to find its own direction when I’m writing it, and so I can change elements if I think they’d work better than what I’d initially planned, and I find that works for me.
