I’ve been quieter than I’d intended the last while and that’s because I’ve been finishing up another project. However, I can tell you that the next book I have in the planning stages is a vampire story set in an urban fantasy world. I have the bare bones of the novella planned out, and I’m going to be doing some more work on its planning now.
I’m thinking of timing the writing of it with NaNoWriMo this year, like I did with the Theatre of Fantasies, as I feel it gives me an additional push with my writing to keep on target. So what I think I’ll do is prepare all of the content I’ll need and do as much planning as possible before NaNoWriMo, and then write the novella fully during the month of November. I find this works for me and writing a novella (which is around 18,000 or 20,000 words) during NaNoWriMo makes it easier to hit the daily targets and stay on track. I found it a pleasant writing pace last year so I think it will be this year as well. 🙂
